How to Add Outside Bookings to The Bash

Posted by The Bash on June 20, 2020

Adding Outside BookingsAdding a verified booking for an event that happened outside of The Bash or for a client that may be unfamiliar with our booking system is highly valuable for a few different reasons...

Benefits of Adding Outside Bookings to The Bash

Adding an outside booking to The Bash can provide several benefits for both you and your clients, including:

  • Search Ranking: The booking will count towards your booking dollars once you pay the 5% booking fee for it, which is one of many factors that help to improve your search results ranking.

  • Eligible for a Review: Once the event is over, clients will be able to leave you a review, just like any other booking on The Bash. More reviews lead to more bookings!

  • Access to Online Payments: The client will be able to easily pay you online for the service and you, as the vendor, will receive the deposit/balance payments directly to your bank account in as fast as 2 business days if you're enrolled in online payments.

  • Peace of Mind: All bookings on The Bash are backed by our Booking Guarantee. Clients can take comfort in knowing that they're experience will be stress free from start to finish.

To get credit for an outside booking, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Control Panel

  2. Go to your Calendar tab

  3. Click the 'Create Event' button and select 'Verified Booking'

  4. Fill out all the required information about the booking including the client information, event details, and the rate and payment information

  5. Click the "next button" and review all of the verified booking details that you entered.

  6. If everything looks correct, click the "book and pay fee" button so you can pay the 5% booking fee (minimum $20). This allows you to receive credit towards your booking dollars and star rating, should the client leave you a review.

Please note: You can only add an event that has a future date or an event that has occurred within the past 30 days.

Frequently Asked Questions about Adding Outside Bookings

What happens after submitting an outside booking?

Next, we contact the client via email to confirm the booking. Unless we hear otherwise or they decline the booking, the event will be treated like any other booking on The Bash. The client will be assigned a Gig ID# and username and password to access their event through The Bash. The booking will count towards your booking totals and will be subject to all of the guidelines set forth in our User Agreement.

The email that the client receives will look something like this:

Dear [Client Name],

We heard the good news - DJ Awesome indicated that you hired them for the Birthday Party (Adult) on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. DJ Awesome is a member of The Bash. Please confirm the details of your event below.

Will the client be able to leave me a review for the outside booking?

If you add an event that has a future date, the client will automatically receive an email one day after the event takes place that encourages them to leave you a review on The Bash and then another review reminder email 5 days after the event date.

If the event you added is in the past and you would like a review reminder email sent to them, you can do so once the event is 7 days or more in the past. Just follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Control Panel.

  2. Go to the Leads tab of your Control Panel

  3. Find the booked event and click on it. (Helpful Tip: You can search your leads by the Gig ID # if you know it or use the sort and filter functionality to help find the booked event).

  4. On the next page, click the 'Send Review Reminder' button under the event and client info.

You can always contact us and we would be happy to send reminders on your behalf.

What happens if a client declines the booking?

If a client declines the booking, your booking fee will be returned immediately and the gig will be canceled. You will still be able to add the event to your gig calendar at no charge, but you will not receive credit towards your rating and ranking on The Bash.
